Arterial Plaque results in a sudden interruption of blood flow to an organ or body part when a blood clot or atherosclerotic plaque moves in the blood stream from its point of origin to a new location, blocking an artery. These deposits or soft plaques are tenuously held in place by a thin, fibrous cover vulnerable to ruptures.
