| In the summer of 1993, Ellen Piernick, a New York based Nutritional Health Professional and Champion Amateur Body Builder, survived a life threatening accident which resulted in major second and third degree burns and multiple breaks and fractures. The effects of treatment from mainstream practitioners left her feeling weak, toxic, and very unhealthy. She began to investigate alternative medicine and healing and was introduced to various superfood ingredients which she began to combine and take herself.
