| Spearmint grows 30-60cm high. It has a thick stem, smooth or wrinkled leaves and pale lilac, pink or white spike-like flowers. The plant is found in the Mediterranean regions, Europe and North America. Spearmint has carminative, anti-spasmodic, aromatic and stimulant effects. Peppermint is a cross breed of it but has a stronger activity. |
