Description of Resveratrol 100

Jarrow FORMULAS Resveratrol 100 contains 100 mgof resveratrols (3,4,5-trihydroxystilbenes) and resveratrolglucosides (piceids) extracted from Huzhang (“tiger cane”)root. Polygonum extracts have a history of usage in traditionaleastern medicine as cardiotonics.
As an antioxidant, resveratrol may protect cardiovascularfunction by inhibiting LDL oxidation, upregulating nitricoxide synthesis, and protecting the integrity of capillaries.
Resveratrol has also been studied for its ability to activatePhase 2 detoxification enzymes, and to maintain healthycell replication.
